Brandy Breaks Silence After Abruptly Leaving ‘Boy Is Mine Tour’ Stage

Brandy Norwood broke his silence after rushing out of his concert on Saturday, October 18 in Chicago.
“To my beloved Chicago fans, thank you all for your love, support and most importantly, your prayers,” Brandy, 46, said. Us every week in a statement. “I sincerely apologize for the abrupt end to last night’s performance in Chicago. After weeks of non-stop rehearsals, last night I felt dehydrated and felt like passing out. Everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the utmost importance.”
Brandy and Monica Arnold were in the middle of their live concert, named after their 1998 duet, when the Moesha The former student quickly left the stage without a word.
“I still made the decision to try to come back and give it my all even though I didn’t feel good about having to make some adjustments and the show was very technical,” she continued in her statement. “Unfortunately it was impossible to fully connect sonically with the production, I really appreciate everyone’s best efforts.”
Brandy adds, “I am deeply grateful to my sister, Monica, for stepping in with such grace and professionalism, and to the entire team for their continued care and support. I left the arena to see a nearby doctor and took appropriate precautions to help me move forward. Your understanding, patience and unwavering belief mean the world to me.”
Brandy further noted that she can’t wait to “get back on stage” for her and Monica’s concert on Sunday, October 19, in Indianapolis.
Brandy and Monica, 44, launched their The Boy is Mine Tour earlier this week. They are scheduled to perform in 27 cities across the United States through December.

Just before opening night, Brandy said Essence that the tour was a “coming full circle moment.”
“It’s a chance to honor where we come from, celebrate the people who have supported us from the very beginning, and share the stage in a way that’s fresh, powerful, and deeply connected to who we are now,” she told the magazine earlier this month. “It’s moving, it’s inspiring and it reminds me that music is truly timeless.”
According to Brandy, the tour also helped strengthen her friendship with Monica.
“When we are together, it creates a sense of balance and support that allows me to be fully present,” she said. “Sharing this bond with her goes beyond music. It reflects a mutual respect and understanding that has been built over years of experiences.”
THE Boy Is Mine Tourwhich celebrates the 25th anniversary of the song of the same name, will also feature appearances from other artists Kelly Rowland, Muni Long And American idol winner Jamal Roberts.
