Bob Arum says there is only one winner between Mayweather and Crawford after promoting both

Legendary boxing promoter Bob Arum has worked with some of the most talented fighters in boxing history, including Floyd Mayweather Jr and Terence Crawford. When asked about a fantasy fight between the two, Arum offered a confident prediction.
Crawford established himself as a pound-for-pound great this year, dethroning Canelo Alvarez at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in September to become the first undisputed three-division champion of the four-belt era; after reigning supreme at welterweight and welterweight.
Even though Mayweather never went undisputed during his illustrious career, “Money”, like Crawford, was a five-weight world champion and retired in 2017 with an undefeated record of 50-0, boasting victories against names such as Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and also Canelo.
As a result, many fans are having a hard time deciding whether a top-ranked Mayweather would have been able to hand Crawford a first career loss, or vice versa, but Top Rank founder Arum told Sean Zittel that he thinks “Bud” would have come out on top.
“Crawford [would have beaten Mayweather]because Crawford is a unique type of fighter that other fighters haven’t seen.
“The capacity he has to change [stances]fighters aren’t used to that, they don’t train for that. I just think Crawford is a very, very unique talent.
The Omaha-born sensation is now expected to move down to the middleweight division in a bid to become boxing’s third world champion in six divisions, with a fight against Janibek Alimkhanuly or Carlos Adames looking like the likely option for 2026.
