The reality TV show hosted by Salman Khan Bigg Boss is known to supply controversies inside the house. This time, however, the storm struck its manufacturers. Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL), the oldest copyright license organization in India, has published a legal notice to producers of the program, alleging unauthorized use of music protected by copyright.

According to the opinion, which is in possession of noon, the 19th season in the course of Bigg Boss presented the songs’Chikni Chameli ‘ Since Agneepath (2012) and ‘Dhat Teri Ki ‘ Since Gori tere pyaar mein (2013) in episode 11 which broadcast on September 3, 2025. PPL India claims that producers used the tracks without obtaining a compulsory public performance license.
The opinion, dated September 19, was signified by lawyer Hiten Ajay Wasan on behalf of PPL. He appoints Endemol Shine India, the production house behind Bigg Boss, as well as its directors Thomas Gouset, Nicolas Chazrain and Deepak Dhar, as responsible parties.
A source from the legal team said at midday that the two songs are dismissed at Sony Music Entertainment India, one of the more than 450 music labels whose public performance rights are exclusively managed by PPL. The organization argues that because Endemol Shine India did not obtain the necessary license under article 30 of the law on copyright law of 1957, the law constitutes a “voluntary counterfeing”.
In the opinion, PPL asked for damages with a value of 2 sterling books, as well as the required license fees. The organization also issued a prescription to stop and desist, with the exception of producers to use its sound recordings without appropriate authorization.
Development adds another layer of drama to the longtime reality series, which is currently in its 19th season. The show or its manufacturers have not yet publicly responded to legal allegations.
