Best Oracle builds in Path of Exile 2 league 0.4

The Oracle in Path of Exile 2 is one of the most flexible ascendants. It allows you to play a variety of builds shortly after completing the Trial of Sekhemas. By choosing The Unseen Path, you will be able to assign hidden passive nodes that are exclusively available to Oracle and will allow you to minimize and maximize different types of builds.

Additionally, the Oracle can specify non-Keystone passives within a medium radius using Entwined Realities, making it easier to access nodes without spending points. This article lists some of the best Oracle builds you can play in Path of Exile 2 patch 0.4 and gives you an idea of how to get started.

Note: This is not a building guide.

4 Best Oracle Builds to Play in Path of Exile 2

1) Plant Oracle

Patch 0.4 for Path of Exile 2 introduced a new spell type called Plants. At the moment there are only two: Entangle and Thrashing Vines. However, in addition to being a spell, they also deal physical damage, allowing you to specialize in passive nodes for both. The best part is that building only requires pressing two buttons.

This is what the skill setup looks like:

  • Entangle: Accelerated growth – Reflected casting – Branched cracks – Enlarged area
  • Swinging vines: Concentrated area – Weight – Casting considered – Supercritical
  • Launch in criticism: Thunderstorm – Bone Cage – Spell Cascade – Effectiveness
  • Seal of Power: Extended Duration – Cooldown Recovery – Enlarged Area

Entangle creates cracks in the ground that slow enemies, while Thrashing Vines creates vines in an AoE that deal a high amount of damage. By combining the two, you can make enemies stay in the damage zone longer, resulting in better DPS.

Building around both skills is also easy for the Oracle as it has easy access to the Plant nodes, as well as the physical nodes on the Warrior side of the passive skill tree. Sigil of Power is an innate skill of the Chiming Staff, which you can equip during your weapon swap for additional damage.

2) Lunar Werewolf Oracle

Shapeshifting is one of the most popular playstyles in Path of Exile patch 0.4, and for this version we’re using the Werewolf alongside the Lunar Blessing buff. It grants you extra cold damage and calls Moonbeams with your melee attack, which has a bit of AoE. The only downside is that the build is very mana intensive, so you will need a lot of regeneration.

This is what the skill setup looks like:

  • Shred: Quick Attacks – Elemental Weaponry – Melee – Crescendo – Rage
  • Lunar Assault: Ancestral Call – Elemental Weaponry – Expanded Area – Bhatair’s Vengeance
  • Cross slash: Elemental Weaponry – Focused Area – Execute
  • Lunar blessing: Cooldown Recovery – Extended Duration – Elemental Weaponry – Effectiveness
  • Herald of Ice: Expanded Area – Elemental Weaponry – Frozen Spite
  • Leap: Freeze mark – Siphon mark – Ice bite

The goal is to activate your lunar blessing and start taking down enemies. Each hit will spawn beams that deal additional damage. Collect skill effect duration nodes to keep the buff active longer. Additionally, using your normal attack will allow you to generate Rage, which will also increase the duration.

For bosses and rare enemies, use Pounce to apply Freezing Mark and Lunar Assault to freeze them. Then you can use Shred to create Ice Shards, and before they explode, use Cross Slash to shoot them in one place to deal massive damage. This is one of the most satisfying DPS loops in Path of Exile 2, and with Execute you can take down enemies close to death.

3) Servant Oracle

Minion builds in Path of Exile 2 are one of the most beginner-friendly options for League Start. In the Last of the Druids update, many changes have been made to the passive tree and most of the minion nodes are now located in the upper left corner. This allows Oracle to easily access it, and combined with its invisible path, you can easily max out your minions.

This is what the skill setup looks like:

  • Skeleton Warrior: Meat Shield – Last Breath – Gathering Essence – Elemental Army
  • Skeletal Storm Mage: Quick Launch – Meat Shield – Stormfire
  • Spectrum: Feeding Frenzy – Quick Attacks – Muster – Multishot
  • Raging spirits: Extended Duration – Quick Attacks – Armor Demolisher – Blind
  • Wall of flames: Quick Cast – Effectiveness – Arcane Surge
  • Elemental Weakness: Increased Curse – Cursed Ground – Effectiveness – Ritual Curse
  • Pain offering: Extended Duration – Sacrificial Offering – Effectiveness – Danse Macabre

To resolve Spirit issues in Path of Exile 2 League 0.4, you will need to use the Idol of Ralakesh with the unique “Bones of Ullr” boots for greater booking efficiency. Additionally, you will need Spirit on the amulet and body armor with an increased Spirit affix of at least 44% on your scepter.

Once everything is set up, use Pain Offering to skewer one of your minions to give the others a boost. For stronger enemies, use Flame Wall to summon enraged spirits that will break enemy armor, allowing others to deal more damage. Blind support will also reduce their accuracy, making you more tanky.

4) CoC Comet Oracle

Comet is a complex build but one of the most fun to play in Path of Exile 2. It is an auto-bomber build that triggers via Cast on Critical, as casting the skill yourself takes time. With proper setup and using the Forced Outcome Ascendancy passive, you can easily rain comets all over the screen.

This is what the skill setup looks like:

  • Frost Bomb: Powerful Exposure – Spell Echo – Overabundance – Short Fuse – Effectiveness
  • Elemental Weakness: Doedre’s Undoing – Lifetap – Impending Doom – Spell Cascade – Effectiveness
  • Launch in criticism: Comet – Rising Storm – Spell Cascade – Energy Retention – Bleeding of Atalui
  • Remains of life: Remaining power – Harmonic remainders – Cannibalism
  • Seal of Power: Enlarged area – Extended duration – Quick throw
  • Leftover mana: Harmonic remainders – Power of remainders
  • Archmage: Lightning Mastery

Using Frost Bomb and Elemental Weakness, you will charge Cast on Critical, which will summon a comet on enemies. The trigger frequency depends on how quickly you can collect energy for the CoC. While energy retention is useful, you’ll need to be able to handle regular critical hits for the build to work.

Fortunately, there is an abundance of critical nodes in the passive Oracle and Sorcress tree. The only problem you’ll face is survivability, as the build is what you’d call a glass cannon. Using “Eldritch Battery” grants you more mana but removes all of your shields, making you susceptible to a single hit.
