Bessie Carter, daughter of well -known actors Imelda Staunton and Jim Carter, recently clearly indicated that she does not lose sleep after being called a “baby nepo”.
The rising star, known for playing prudence featherington in Netflix’s hit show Bridgertonsaid she just doesn’t care about what people think about how she started.
Speaking The independentBessie shared: “I have a lot of drive so that things happen myself, instead of waiting for the phone to sound.”
“Some people could use this sentence (baby nepo), but I don’t care. I believe in me and in my trajectory being what it is, and I have never used my parents to get work,” she added.
However, the actress said she liked to be in the same industry as her mother.
She continued: “It’s really nice when I am in the hair and the makeup and the make -upman says:” I worked with your mom. “Who wouldn’t like that?”
Imelda has been a star on stage and on the screen for years, but Bessie says that it only really struck her when her mother appeared Harry Potter.
The actress shared: “Like most children, I grew up reading them and going to bookstores at midnight, so it was quite exciting.”
However, Bessie thinks that Bridgerton has become a success in part because it was released at the right time.
