Bessent says “all options on the table” for sanctions in Russia after bombing

Fox News’ main national correspondent Rich Edson, interviews the American Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on the new potential sanctions against Russia.
The secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, told Fox News in an exclusive interview that “all the options are on the table” while the Trump administration weighs sanctions against Russia after President Vladimir Putin continued to bomb Ukraine despite recent peace discussions.
Bessent spoke with the main national correspondent Rich Edson in Martin’s Tavern in Washington, DC, answering a question on potential sanctions against Russia.
“I think everything is on the table,” said Bessent. “President Putin, from the historic meeting in Anchorage, since the telephone call, when European leaders and President Zelensky were at the White House the following Monday, did the opposite to follow what he indicated that he wanted to do in fact, he has, in a contemptible and despicable way, increased the bombing campaign.”
Bessent added: “So I think that with President Trump, all the options are on the table, and I think we will examine them very closely this week.”
