Bella Thorne revisits her brief link with Charlie Puth and makes a serious allegation against the singer.
Friday July 11, the Shake it! The alum responded in the comments section of an Instagram account of popular entertainment discussing Small mixture Singer Jade Thirlwall’s reported decision never to collaborate with Puth again.
Thorne wrote: “Yeah I mean .. he lied to the whole world about me and started a hate train. All because I would not do it…. Doing the act with him.”
Thorne, 27, and Puth, 33, was linked in December 2016 when they were spotted in Jingle Ball in Miami, and Puth serenade on stage.
But the romance ended as quickly as she started, Puth presenting himself at X (then Twitter) to accuse Thorne of deceiving his ex-friendly friend, Tyler Posey, leaving with him too early.
In articles now deleted, the singer wrote: “I cannot believe what I read. No one should have the heart playing like that, and I’m not going to be in the middle.”
Although he did not name Thorne directly, he apologized to Posey in the same thread, clearly indicating to whom he was referring.
“I do not know Tyler personally, but I know that he should not be treated in this way. She told me that she was no longer with him. This is all the news for me,” wrote Puth at the time.
Thorne retaliated, denying any reprehensible act.
She explained that she and Posey had already broken up when rumors about her and Puth surfaced. “Ty and I have been broken for more than two weeks and Charlie and I are not going out together, we are friends. This article has been written there is always, ”she said on X.
“Charlie and I hung out. He saw an old interview and obtained Buthurt but instead of sending me an SMS and asking him questions, he put it on Twitter. ”
The two stars have since evolved. Thorne got engaged to entrepreneur Mark Emms in May 2023, while Puth married Brooke Sansone in Montecito, California, in September 2024.
