Beak and barrel on the theme of pirates are making its debut at Magic Kingdom this Friday
Ken Ricci and Chris Weck with Walt Disney Imagineering have discussed the creation of the Walt Disney World’s beak and barrel and the draw of immersive experience in the world of “Caribbean pirates” with Fox Business on August 22, 2025.
The Walt Disney World’s Beak and Barrel of the Magic Kingdom opens on Friday, and obtaining a reserve at the expected new impatience is already difficult.
The “first of its kind” experience plunges guests into the world of attraction and “Pirates of the Caribbean” films. He offers the whole family “tropical drinks that ended, delicious little bites, songs, narrtilles and enchanting surprises,” Disney said in a press release.
The guests were supposed to be able to reserve reservations for the new tavern on the theme of pirates on August 14, but the online Disney catering booking system crashed. Reservations were then published on August 20, but went quickly and the Taverne’s online booking calendar currently shows no availability, even for solo travelers.
“We are so excited about it, just because I don’t think guests know what they are expecting,” Fox Business Chris Weck told Walt Disney Imagineering. “We know how immersive he is, so just to see the excitement before they were in space, is really huge.”

Two guests visiting the Bar from Barl to Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom can enjoy their food and their drinks next to an interactive fireplace.
Customers must be 21 years old and have a valid identification to consume alcohol in the beak and barrel. There is a period of 45 minutes for guests, and each guest can only consume a maximum of two alcoholic drinks.

“It’s not just another bar,” said James Kleinschmidt, culinary director of concept development for Walt Disney World. “We were inspired by pirates sailing on the seven seas, things you would see from their travels, or they would feel, spices, this kind of thing.”

Kleinschmidt, who has been a member of the distribution for 28 years, says that there is something for everyone on the beak and a barrel.

“One of my favorites is the Ube and Cake Pop board, with the cannon ball and the caramel corn in gold crust,” he said about the non-alcoholic specialized drink called The Treasure Trove. “It’s an incredible mix and a drink of a drink and gentle items to accompany it.”
