Bayern Munich are now preparing a bid of over £80m to sign Fernandes; he plans to leave Man Utd

Bayern Munich are currently preparing a stunning bid of more than £80 million to sign one of Manchester United’s most important players, according to reports.

Bayern Munich prepare bid of over £80m for Man Utd star

Rumors of a major exit are the last thing the players at Old Trafford need. The Red Devils have experienced a nightmare for a few weeks, and this is not the first time, after deciding to part ways with Ruben Amorim.

Man Utd now rush to sign ‘excellent’ £30m star Michael Carrick adores

He knows Carrick well…

The former Sporting CP boss lasted less than two years and, ultimately, it was his words that got him sacked at a time when results were starting to improve.

Back at square one, INEOS have appointed Michael Carrick as interim boss until the end of the season. The former Middlesbrough boss arrives hoping to finally become the successful manager that other former players have struggled to become. But even if he is successful, Gary Neville hopes to see his term end this summer as planned.

It’s not an environment that will attract players at present, although names like Thomas Tuchel have been mentioned. Instead, he’s the guy that top players might want to move away from.

Reports are already claiming that an exit could be on the cards for Joshua Zirkzee, and things could only get worse from there. Reports in Spain have even gone so far as to claim that Bayern Munich are preparing a bid to sign Bruno Fernandes worth €100m (£87m).

Man Utd should do everything to keep Fernandes

It goes without saying that losing the captain would be a nightmare for Man United, but it could become their reality sooner or later. The Portugal international is reportedly keen to leave the club amid interest from Bayern in the hope of turning woes at Old Trafford into German silverware.

Alarm bells were already ringing last summer when Fernandes was set to leave for the Saudi Pro League and he did little to ease United’s nerves when he spoke about the situation in a recent interview.

The 31-year-old said: “From the club side, I felt it was: ‘If you leave, it’s not so bad for us’. It hurts me a little. More than getting injured, it makes me sad. I’m a player that no one can criticize, I’m always available, I always give the best of myself.”

Almost a year later, with another new manager, the Old Trafford players must avoid facing a similar situation with their star man, who is also their second highest earner at £300,000-a-week.
