Awaji’s expansion’s expansion claws are now released

Ubisoft is releasing Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ expansion, Claws of Awaji, available on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation5, macOS the Epic Games Store, Steam and Ubisoft Store on Windows PC, and Amazon Luna. It’s available for free for all players who have pre-ordered the game, and available for 25€/$ as a standalone purchase. The expansion is also included in the Ubisoft+ subscription.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ expansion: Claws of Awaji

Developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux, Claws of Awaji offers over 10 hours of new content, introducing a brand-new region and narrative that expands the story of Naoe and Yasuke. Set after the events of the base game, the expansion requires players to complete the main story before accessing its content.

The adventure begins when Naoe travels to Awaji on the trail of a mysterious shinobi. There, alongside Yasuke, she will confront the dangerous Sanzoku Ippa, a ruthless faction threatening the island’s peace. During their new voyage on the mysterious island of Awaji, players will discover vibrant cities and stunning maritime landscapes, but they will need to stay sharp as ambushes and traps soon make it clear that they are far from welcome on Awaji.

Claws of Awaji adds a plethora of new content to the Shadows of Creed of Assassin, including new skills, weapons capacities, armor and equipment for Naee and Yasuke, which can all resume the main game. These upgrades will give players the advantage they need to face the deadliest enemies in Awaji, including new enemy types and particularly difficult bosses.

At the end of the expansion, all Shadows players will be able to unlock a new weapon for Nae, BO staff, through a free quest. Agile and fast, BO is designed for fluid combos and creative attacks, hitting several rapid enemies. The claws of the Awaji players will have access to the legendary Bo Staves with unique engravings, only available on Awaji Island.

The Claws of Awaji expansion comes after months of launch support, with several added features, such as the new game + or the new nightmare difficulty mode. The last update, published on September 11, introduced improvements in the quality of life requested by the community, including the possibility of quickly obtaining time and automatically erase the fog of the card of a region once all the synchronization points have been completed.
