The star of the Jenna Fischer office was interpreted as Pam Beesly thanks to a word

More than a decade withdrawn from his final of the series, it is just to say that “The Office” is one of the most popular television broadcasts of all time. Just up there with tastes of “Cheers” and “Friends”, the history of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company and the employees who realize this apparently normal company have engraved its place in the annals of television history. Anyone who was in this program, in turn, reached a certain level of immortality, including key players like the receptionist Pam Beesly, as played by Jenna Fischer.

Pam was, of course, a role that changed life for Fischer, which has since transformed the popularity of the program on a very successful podcast entitled “Office Ladies”. Even more incredible, it seems that Fischer winning the role was really summed up in a word during his hearing. During an appearance on the podcast “Fly on the Wall”, known by Dana Carvey and David Spade, Fischer recalled what led her to secure her role on “The Office”. More specifically, she remembered the advice that casting director Allison Jones gave her before her hearing:

“I have been auditioning for Allison for about five years before” the office “. Fischer was certainly not the only one to have auditioned for PAM, Erica Vittina Phillips (“Superbad”) having almost won the role. But Fischer took advice at heart, and when the time came to audition, she nailed him with a daring choice.

Speaking more about the hearing that changed her life, Fischer told what happened when she sat down to hear with the showrunner Greg Daniels. According to Fischer, a response from a word during this improvisation session apparently helped to conclude the agreement:

“I had this note in my head, and he said,” Do you like to be a receptionist here? “And I just stop and I didn’t say anything. And that’s all I said … I thought it would be funnier to look at me thinking about all the things I was not going to say than saying none of them.

This worked, and Fischer was interpreted as PAM, who was a major player in the pilot episode to the final of the series of “The Office” in 2013, appearing in a total of 188 episodes. Fischer managed to stand out in the crowd in the same way as Steve Carrell made before winning the role of Michael Scott, who almost went there to several other actors of the big name. Although there were certainly other factors at stake, this well -placed “no” could have changed the course of Fischer’s career.

For the future, it seems unlikely that we see more PAM on the screen in the future, even if the world of “The Office” returns – in a way. Indeed, Daniels is now working on a spin -off entitled “The Paper”, which takes place in a journal of the dying midwest and a Domhnall Gleeson (“About Time”, “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens”) and Sabrina Impacciatore (“The Passion of the Christ”, “The White Lotus”) leading the casting.
