Atletico Madrid finished the signature of Napoli striker Giacomo Raspadori.
The Italian international signed a five -year contract with Atletico after spending his doctor.
Raspadori becomes the 10th signature of Atletico of an extremely busy transfer window for the men of Diego Simeone while they seek to challenge Barcelona for the title of Laliga.
Having initially joined Napoli on loan from Sassuolo in 2022, Raspadori joined a permanent agreement a year later. He scored 18 goals in three seasons for Napoli, while providing 10 assists, helping them to the Scudetto in 2022-23 and 2024-25.
A similar success with Atletico can be more difficult to find given the intense competition provided by Barça and the Rivaux d’Arch Real Madrid.
But Atletico hopes that its addition to a talented attack will give them increased power in advanced areas. Raspadori joins Alexander Sorho, Antoine Griezmann and Julian Alvarez among the options for an Atletico team which scored 68 goals from Laliga last season, the fourth largest number of the division, but 34 less than the 102 Barca bent on the way to the title.
Having led their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 victory against Newcastle United, Atletico begins its Laliga season in Espanyol on Sunday.
