The Houston Astros Center field player Taylor Trammell was expelled from the field after having crashed into the wall in the first round of the Wednesday match against the host of Detroit Tigers.
Trammell hunted a fly ball on the bats of the tigers, the designated striker Dillon Dingler before hitting the wall at Comerica Park. Trammell had trouble getting up and tried to leave the field before finally falling on his knees.
The coaches of the two teams came out and a cart was quickly summoned for Trammell, which was replaced in the match by the recruit Jacob Melton.
Dingler was credited with a triple RBI on the game to give Detroit an advance of 5-0.
Trammell, 27, Bat .208 with three circuits and 11 points produced in 42 games this season.
