Asif Ali cricket calls it after five years of cricket trip

On Monday, the Pakistani right -wing drummer Asif Ali announced his retirement from international cricket, calling for his time in the national jersey the “most proud” chapter in his life.
The 34 -year -old man shared the news on Instagram, writing: “Today, I am announcing my retirement from international cricket.”
The middle order drummer wrote: “Wearing the Pakistani jersey was the greatest honor of my life, and serving my country on the cricket field was my most proud chapter.”
The hard striker expressed his gratitude to his fans, colleagues and coaches for having supported him at “each up and down”.
“To my family and friends, who stood with me in moments of joy and in the deepest trials, including the loss of my beloved daughter during the World Cup, your strength made me move forward,” he added.
Ali, who started his international career in 2018 and appeared in his last match against Bangladesh in October 2023 during the Asian Games, played 58 T20is and 21 ODI in five years of his cricket trip.
In total, he scored 959 points, including three centuries in both formats.
He remained part of the Pakistani team during the Male T20 World Cup ICC in 2022 and 2021.
In the semi-finals of the T20i 2021 World Cup, Asif played a memorable round against New Zealand and Afghanistan.
