Pakistan dropped a bomb before the 2025 Asian Cup with the exclusion of two of their biggest names – Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled a team of 17 members on Sunday for the high challenges tournament as well as the T20i Tri-Series and Asia Cup scheduled for August 29 to September 28. Tri-series, featuring Afghanistan, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, will be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium from August 29 to September 7.
The T20i ACC Asia Cup T20i tournament at eight teams will be organized in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from September 9 to 28. Pakistan is placed in the group “A” alongside India, Oman and Water.Salman Ali Agha was appointed captain of Pakistan for the next tri-series in the United Arab Emirates, followed by the Asian Cup, which will also be held to the water.
