Arsenal Racing to sign a star of 80 million pounds sterling that “ends like Henry”

The window may not yet be officially open, but the idiot season is already in full swing, and it seems to be very busy for Arsenal.

The Gunners did not make enough additions to the first team last year, and he returned to bite them largely, with injuries and a shortage of cutting edge subject to a fifth season without trophy and yet another second place in the Premier League.

One of the rare positive points to come from the campaign was the continuously impressive development of Bukayo Saka, because even if he missed almost four months of action, the English managed to accumulate a brilliant transport of 12 goals and 14 assists in 37 appearances.

Thus, fans should be enthusiastic about recent reports connecting the club to another Premier League winger who has not only won comparisons with Hale Ender, but also has something distinctly Thierry Henry-Esque in his game.

Before arriving at the player in question, it is worth looking at some of the other wingers who have been praised for moves to Arsenal in recent weeks, such as Bryan Mbeumo and Jamie Gittens.

The first could be available for up to 51 million pounds sterling in the coming weeks, and, in all honesty, it is probably a more than just price, because in just 42 appearances for Brentford this season, the Cameroonian dynamo scored 20 goals and provided new assists.

On the other hand, Gittens probably seems to cost somewhere in the region of 46 million pounds sterling this summer, which, once again, does not seem unreasonable for a talent of 20 years which scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 48 games this season.

However, none of these players were compared to Saka and Henry, unlike Kaoru Mitoma.

Yes, according to a recent report by Sky Sports Germany journalist, Florian Prettenberg, Arsenal is now interested in Brighton & Hove Albion star.

Prettenberg revealed that the club added the Japanese international, which also interests Bayern Munich, “to their list for the summer”.

However, the most important obstacle to this transfer could be the price, the reports of last month saying that the Seagulls want up to 80 million pounds sterling for their star winger.

It seems that it is an expensive and complicated transfer to do this summer, but given the Mitoma capacities and comparisons with SAKA, it might be useful to fight.

How Mitoma compared to Saka

So before arriving at some of the other reasons why Arsenal might want to sign Mitoma this summer, it is worth examining this comparison with Saka and where it comes from.

Bukayo-Saka-Art

In this case, it comes from Fbref, which examined the players in similar positions in the Premier League this season and concluded that the Arsenal star was classified at the top.

The best way to understand how this conclusion was concluded is to look at some of the underlying measures in which the pair is closely classified, such as the expected non-penalty objectives, progressive transport, passing precision, pass them live, plated and more, all for 90.

In addition to its similarities with the number seven Mercuria of the Gunners, there are other reasons why Arteta and Co should sign the incredibly entertaining servers of Seagulls, such as its production.

For example, in the mere premier League, the “crazy” talent, baptized by the analyst respected Ben Mattinson, managed to score ten goals and provided four assists in 36 appearances, which leaves an average involvement of the objectives every 2.57 games.

In addition, while the maestro born in Kawasaki has proven himself in order to produce a certain number of finishes, perhaps his most effective sees him peeling off from the left and placing the ball in the furthest corner, leading to the former teammate Christian Burgess saying that he “ends like Thierry Henry”.

In the end, even if it would require a substantial financial effort, Mitoma could be exactly what Arsenal needs next season, and therefore the club should do what they can to sign it this summer.
