Ariana Grande suffered a blow before Villain: for good First in Brazil.
The actress/singer, who was to attend the screening of her highly anticipated film in Sao Paulo on November 4, will unfortunately miss the event.
Drawing on her Instagram stories, the 7 rings The singer shared the heartbreaking news, saying: “Brazil, I can’t believe this is happening and I’m beyond devastated to send this message.”
“A few hours ago my team and I had to disembark our flight because they had to do maintenance on the plane due to a safety issue and it won’t take off until 11am tomorrow, which means I won’t make it in time for the flight. Bad for good First in Sao Paulo,” she added.
Grande revealed that her team and Universal Studios “tried everything to resolve the issue,” such as making efforts to arrange private flights, but nothing was available.
She explained: “Even attempting a private option, there is a permit required to fly from here and that takes time to obtain.”
“I’m so heartbroken that I can’t be here with you all. We have sincerely tried everything we can and I apologize from the bottom of my heart,” she concluded.
After the premiere in Sao Paulo, the next screening will take place in Paris on November 7, in London on November 10, in Singapore on November 13 and in New York on November 17.
Villain: for good starring Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey and Ethan Slater is set to be released on November 21.
