Apple Coo Jeff Williams retires this year

Jeff Williams withdrew from his post as head of the farm at Apple, the company today. Sabih Khan, vice-president of the company’s main operations, will take up the title of COO later this month. After Williams’ retirement later this year, the design team he had supervised will be directly from CEO Tim Cook. He also heads the Apple Watch teams and the company’s health initiatives, but no details have yet been shared on who will lead these sections.
Williams joined Apple in 1998. He was at COO in 2015, the first to hold the title of the company after Cook left the role of CEO. “Jeff and I worked side by side as long as I remember, and Apple would not be what it is without him,” said Cook about the outgoing executive.
Khan is another longtime employee from Apple, with three decades to the technology giant. After joining the management team in 2019, he managed the Apple global supply chain. According to Cook, Khan “has advanced our ambitious efforts in terms of environmental sustainability, helping to reduce the carbon footprint of Apple by more than 60%”.
