Anthropic signs $200 million deal to offer its LLMs to Snowflake customers

AI research lab Anthropic is not slowing down its efforts to attract corporate clients. The company announced Wednesday that it is expanding its partnership with cloud data company Snowflake in a multi-year, $200 million AI deal that will bring Anthropic’s large language models to Snowflake’s platform and, in turn, its large customer base.
“Anthropic joins a very select group of partners with whom we have nine-figure alignment, product-level co-innovation, and a proven track record of joint execution for customers around the world,” Snowflake co-founder and CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy said in a blog post. “Together, the combined power of Claude and Snowflake raises the bar for how businesses deploy scalable, contextual AI on top of their most critical business data.
This agreement is also positioned as a joint go-to-market initiative aimed at offering AI agents to enterprise customers.
Claude Sonnet 4.5 will power Snowflake Intelligence, the cloud company’s enterprise AI service. Snowflake said its customers will be able to leverage Claude models, including Claude Opus 4.5, to run multimodal data analysis. Customers will also be able to use the templates to create their own custom agents.
“Companies have spent years creating secure and reliable data environments, and now they want AI that can operate in these environments without compromise,” Dario Amodei, co-founder and CEO of Anthropic, said in a statement. “This partnership brings Claude directly to Snowflake, where this data already resides. This is a significant step toward truly useful AI for businesses.”
Anthropic has struck numerous deals with large companies in recent months, seeking to prioritize selling to enterprises rather than individual users — a strategy that contrasts with its main rival OpenAI, which has taken a more grassroots growth path.
Anthropic signed an agreement with Deloitte in October to integrate its Claude chatbot with the consulting giant’s more than 500,000 employees. The same week, Anthropic entered into a partnership with IBM to integrate some of its LLMs into the latter’s software products.

Anthropic’s success is not surprising as the company’s models have garnered strong and growing popularity among businesses. A Menlo Ventures survey in July found that companies preferred Anthropic’s AI products over models from other AI companies.
