“Anthony Volpe is again drunk”

Since he made his debut in the big league in March 2023, Anthony Volpe’s offensive production has been a major problem in his game. However, his defensive excellence has generally compensated his gaps on the plate, justifying his place in the programming.
This season, however, the generally stellar defense of Volpe was at best incoherent, because the inner field player leads the Al with 19 errors. The last of them came in an extremely important match, a 4-3 victory against the Blue Jays of Toronto at the head of Al East on Sunday.
With a runner on the second goal and no withdrawal at the top of the third, Davis Schneider struck what seemed to be a routine drain in Volpe in the event of a short. Although he seemed to line up the ball, the Volpe throw to the first Ben Rice goal fell late, forcing Rice to remove his foot from the bag in order to remove the ball from dirt.

As a result, Schneider was called safe by the first basic referee. The Blue Jays continued to capitalize via a double RBI from Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
A clip for Anthony Volpe’s most recent error arrived at X shortly after.
“19th error on the season for Anthony Volpe”, the position was subtitled.
Several Yankees fans have expressed their frustrations in the comments.
“Send it to AA, it is again drunk,” wrote a fan.
“So, it is automatic on the plate and leads the league in errors with an SS. Why is TF a game in an essential series? A serious question,” said another fan.
“The biggest game of the year and Anthony Volpe holds the team,” said another fan.
“I can’t spell E-6 without volpe-6 !!!!” Another fan responded.
“The Volpe era is to be finished after this season. He was 3 years old.,” Said another fan.
“More errors than Homeuns 🥴🥴 🥴🥴 🥴🥴,” said another fan.
Despite Anthony Volpe’s error, the Yankees were able to record an extremely important victory against the Blue Jays
While the Yankees continue the Blue Jays of Toronto in order to recover first place in the Al East, the two teams faced a series of three games in the Bronx this weekend. The visitors won the first game, while the hosts came back strong during the shock on Saturday to organize an exciting final on Sunday.
The game started how fans would have hoped, Ben Rice broke a three -point home run at the bottom of the first to help the Bronx Bombers establish an early advance.

The Blue Jays did not fall without fighting, scoring two points in the second before linking it after Anthony Volpe’s error in the third.
However, just when the momentum seemed to go on the opposite, the double RBI of Cody Bellinger at the bottom of the third managed the hosts.
Gracked up some beautiful works by Max Fried, Devin Williams and David Bednar in the remaining sleeves, the Yankees kept this advance at a point for the rest of the game to win 4-3, by winning the series in the process. More importantly, the victory reduced the Blue Jays cushion to the top of the division only two games.
