At CNET, we tested nearly 140 portable power plants and counting in our Louisville test laboratory, Kentucky. Some of the qualifications we use to help us determine the best portable power plants are capacity, charging time and load options. The Anker Solix C1000 Gen 2 is the last Anker model to try to check the three boxes.
The out -of -competition function here is Anker’s Hyperflash technology, which, according to it, allows the power plant to make a complete 100% recharge in 49 minutes while connecting a standard wall outlet. It works as long as the ultra-fast load mode is activated in the application. If it is true, it is much faster than the first generation C1000 and especially even better than the Ecoflow River 3
Our best small portable power station, which managed to take care of in 1 hour during our tests and the Bluetti AC70 (Full load in 1.5 hours). He also beats the Dji Power 500 (100% invoice in 70 minutes) and the Bluetti Handsfree 2 Power Station backpack (80% in 45 minutes).

The battery itself has a capacity of 1,024 watts-hour (2,000 watts), which puts it equally with some of our other choices, including the Jackery Explorer 1000 PlusAlthough we will really have to put him to the laboratory to see how it behaves for sure. It comes with UL-1778 certification and has less than 10 UPS milliseconds, it should therefore work for CPAPs, Wi-Fi and more sensitive electronics.
In other specifications, you are looking for an AC production of 2,000 watts and support up to 3,000 watts with Surgepad. Anker says he is able to supply laptops and refrigerators, the refrigerator for 4.7 hours, a microwave for 1.3 hours and a television for 7.5 hours. The C1000 Gen 2 has less than 10 milliseconds, which makes it more suitable for more sensitive electronics.
The whole unit weighs 24.9 pounds and is 14% smaller and 11% lighter than the previous generation of Anker. It also comes with tons of entry and exit options. You can find 2,000 Watt CA traffic jams, two USB-C 140 Watts, a USB-C 15 Watts port, a USB-A USB-A of 12 Watts and a 120 Watts car cigarette power. It supports the solar entry of 600 watts to recharge off network. The only drawback is that there is no expansion of battery capacity, as many other portable power plants offer it, including our Ecoflow favorites.
The C1000 Gen 2 should operate with most electronics, including microwaves, minifridges, ACS and others.
Price and availability
The Solix C1000 Gen 2 will be available on the Anker Solix website from Tuesday. At full price, it will cost $ 799, but when you launch, you can get it for $ 429 if you register before September 8.
