American doctors, veterans urge Trump to end Israel while hunger stimulates Gaza | News Israel-Palestine Conflict

Washington, DC – The voice of Joséphine Guilbeau remained stable as she increased with anger and frustration outside the Capitol of the United States when she described the hunger crisis imposed by Israeli in Gaza.
“The level of the evil it takes to make the hunger decision of a baby as a means of war, as a war – what happened as a humanity? What happened as a country? ” The 17 -year -old veteran of the US military said on Thursday.
Guilbeau had joined several colleagues veterans, doctors, former officials and member of the Rashida Tlaib Congress to call the legislators and President Donald Trump to listen to the American public and end unconditional support in Israel.
The defenders struck empty pots outside the Capitol to draw attention to famine to Gaza, where many have not eaten for days and more than 100 have died of Israeli blocking, according to the United Nations agencies and local health officials.
The holding of photos of hungry Palestinian children, doctors and veterans highlighted the American role in the conduct of Israel by military aid, the supply of weapons and diplomatic support.
Tlaib called on his colleagues at the congress to join their voters to oppose Israeli atrocities.
Recent opinion polls have shown an increase in public dissatisfaction in the United States with Israel for its treatment of Palestinians, but the congress remains firmly favorable to Israel on a bipartite basis.
“The Americans serving at Congress, wake up because the American people tell you again and again: we do not support this,” Tlaib told journalists outside the American Capitol.
“So maybe for once, listen to your constituency? Pollit them like you are in the way you go.
“Stop activating the genocide”
Tlaib seemed to criticize a vote by his progressive ally Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez against a measure to stop $ 500 million in anti-missile defense to Israel.
Only six legislators voted in favor of the amendment, presented by the Republican Congress Marjorie Taylor Greene last week.
Ocasio-Cortez, who was one of the 422 legislators to vote against the proposal, argued that the abolition of “defensive” aid in Israel does not help the bombardment of the Palestinians.
Tlaib, however, suggested on Thursday that it was not convinced by this justification.
“No matter the weapons – I don’t care whether it is offensive or defensive, no matter what you call it – let’s stop allowing the genocide,” said the American Palestinian MP.
Although Ocasio-Cortez described the War of Israel against Gaza as a genocide and supported measures to restrict the weapons to Israel, his vote aroused a reaction of leftist activists last week who declared that all weapons to Israel would allow his bombing campaign against the Palestinians.
Washington provides Israel with billions of dollars in military aid each year despite allegations of rights violations that would make the country inadmissible for security aid under US law.
The United Nations experts and the main rights defending groups accused Israel of having committed a genocide in Gaza.
Stacy Gilbert, who resigned from the United States Department of State last year after a 20 -year career in protest against a government report denying that Israel is blocking aid to the Palestinians, said Famine in Gaza on Thursday is the result of a “deliberate” decision of Israel.
“I call Trump to take a break with this policy that started with Joe Biden, this disastrous policy of unconditional military support in Israel,” Gilbert told journalists.
The doctor says Trump has “failed” supporters
Nidal Jboor, a doctor based in Michigan with the doctors’ defense group against the genocide, also warned Trump against the follow -up of the same policies as his predecessor, stressing that the American president has the power and the lever to end the war.
“If you do not stop it today, then you are as sleepy as Joe. It’s your call,” said Jboor, invoking Trump’s nickname for Biden, “Sleepy Joe”.
“It is not who we are. Americans are better than that. What we support in Gaza does not make America again large. Stop the killing area. Gaza background with help. End the genocide. The story will remember at this stage and this moment of what we have done and what we have not managed to do. ”
During the race in last year’s elections, Trump courted the important Arab and Muslim communities in Michigan with promises to make peace in the region.
The American president initially took the credit of a truce which entered into force in January. But shortly after taking office earlier this year, he proposed to withdraw all the Palestinians from Gaza – a plan which, according to the defenders of rights, would be equivalent to ethnic cleaning, a crime against humanity.
In addition, he continued to arm Israel, and his administration supported the takeover by Israel of the war in March, the headquarters of Gaza and the overthrow of the aid system on the territory.
JBor said Trump had “failed” his Arab and Muslim supporters.
“People voted for him because he promised peace, and now he breaks his promises,” said the doctor in Al Jazeera.
US GHF boils
In May, the United States and Israel launched an initiative to monopolize the distribution of aid via a private entity, nicknamed GHF.
But the Palestinians and the rights defense groups described the GHF aid distribution sites, concentrated in the south of Gaza, areas inside the areas under the control of the Israeli army, such as death traps.
Israeli troops have opened the shooting on a help seekers daily, killing hundreds of people.
While the United States proudly proclaims that GHF has distributed 90 million meals since May, the count is equivalent to a fraction of the food necessary to feed the two million people in the territory.
In recent weeks, Israel has allowed certain convoys to enter northern Gaza, but assistance trucks have also been subjected to Israeli fire and bombing.
Despite the bloodshed, the United States has praised the GHF operation as a success, reiterating the false claims that Hamas Steals Aid distributed by the UN and its partner organizations.
Asked hungry for hunger in Gaza, the spokesperson for the State Department, Tommy Pigott, told journalists on Thursday that the United States was “aware” of the humanitarian situation in the territory and wanted to see the end of the devastation.
“This is why we have seen this commitment to help people who need it, in a way it is not armed by Hamas,” added Pigott, referring to GHF.
Shortly before Pigott expressed continuous support for the GHF, the Israeli Minister of Heritage Amichai Eliyahu seemed to confirm that his country is deliberately hungry Gaza, saying that “there is no nation that feeds its enemies”.
“The government is rushing to make Gaza be destroyed,” said Eliyahu in a radio interview, according to the Times of Israel.
Back on Capitol Hill, the defenders seemed confident that their voices could make a difference, even after 22 months of war which saw the crisis deepening and the Mount of death daily.
“Each voice is so powerful to move the needle; we have to change the minds of our leaders and make them understand that if they do not stop funding Israel, we will vote them,” Guilbeau, a veteran of the American army, told Al Jazeera.
