Adam Sandler Reveals Worst Part of ‘Jay Kelly’ Press Tour

Adam Sandler attended the 2025 Oscars in a hoodie and shorts

Adam Sandler revealed what he hated most while promoting his new film, Jay Kelly.

The entire press tour became a nightmare for the 59-year-old American actor and comedian, just because of one thing: the costumes.

For the ad campaign, Sandler, known for his laid-back, laid-back look consisting of a hoodie, button-down shirt, baggy shorts, socks and sneakers, had to trade in his signature comfortable look for smart suits.

“It’s been horrible,” the Happy Gilmore star expressed. “I don’t like this feeling.”

He continued: “I think I only have three different costumes, and one of them I don’t like.”

“I can’t stand pants,” the Grown Ups alum added, noting that he hates every part of a costume. “I can’t stand jackets, stupid shirts. I hate them all.”

Even when the Hollywood Walk of Fame was praised for its tidy look, he replied, “No…Thank you.”

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight alongside co-star Laura Dern, the three-time Grammy nominee revealed that he’s been wearing more suits than usual throughout this press tour.

Sandler is so loyal to his baggy clothes that he went to the 2025 Oscars in his usual clothes rather than looking polished in classic suits.

The awards ceremony involved a comedy segment where he arrived in casual clothes, wearing a neon blue hoodie, basketball shorts and sneakers, which host Conan O’Brien called out from the stage.

Sandler responded in character, defending his look by saying he likes the way he looks because he’s a good person and doesn’t care what he wears, before playfully interacting with Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet and leaving the ceremony.
