D-Backs, Zac Gallen faces angels as commercial rumors swirl

The Arizona Diamondbacks are heading for the competition on Saturday evening against the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim, California, six games behind the Giants of San Francisco for the last joker point in the National League and three games below the brand .500.
This puts the Torey Lovullo club in the midst of commercial speculation with the approach of the commercial deadline of July 31. And if the diamondbacks are indeed in a mood sold, the right -hander Zac Gallen could be one of the main parts in movement.
Gallen (7-9, 5.15 ERA), a double finalist of the top-five for NL Cy Young Award, rebounded after a terrible start of 3-7 to win four of his last six decisions. This section includes consecutive victories on the Giants and the Padres of San Diego who saw him granted a single deserved race and 10 strokes in 13 sleeves while removing 19.
“This is part of the business,” said Gallen about the Commercial Conference. “Obviously, for me, I don’t like to hear this, just for the fact that it means that we are in this place where it is potential.”
A serial victory over the Angels after abandoning the opening of Friday evening 6-5 on the single of Travis d’Arnaud, the singing single in the ninth, combined with a good start after the stars break next week, could mean that diamonds become buyers instead of sellers at the deadline.
“I’m just trying to launch a few other starts together and see where we are on the deadline,” said Gallen. “I hope we are in a place [where] The front office does not at least subtract from this team and decides to add a few pieces to this ball club. “”
Gallen A 0-1 with an MPM of 5.14 at the start of a career against Los Angeles. This took place in a 5-2 defeat in Anaheim in 2023 when he granted four points over five strokes, including Mike Trout and Mickey Moniak circuits, in addition to seven rounds while removing 12.
The left-hander of the Yusei Kikuchi stars (3-6, 3.02 ERA), which is 1-1 with an MPM of 5.81 in five career starts against Arizona, should start for the angels on Saturday. Los Angeles moved in the 3,1/2 Tampa Bay games for Joker’s point in the final American league with Friday’s victory.
D’Arnaud bordered a single with pinching Kyle Backhus on the left field line to lead to Logan O’Hoppe from the second goal with the winning race. It was the sixth starting stroke of Arnaud’s career.
“Keep things simple, try to put the battle on baseball,” said Arnaud about his approach. “We already had runners the first and the second, so I didn’t need a circuit to win it. Fortunately, I had a launch to hit, and I just had luck and it fell.”
Zach Neto and Yoan Moncada Homered and Luis Rengifo and Nolan Schanuel have both succeeded for three strokes for the angels. Kenley Jansen launched a ninth aimless to win his third victory. Randal Grichuk struck two circuits and doubled and rolled in three points for Arizona.
D’Arnaud said the Angels, the fourth in the Al West – nine games behind the first place of Houston Astros – always believe that they can put themselves in the playoffs.
“Just continue. We haven’t come out,” said Arnaud. “We all want to do the playoffs this year. Obviously, we also want to win the division.”
