The Israeli settlers beat the American citizen in the West Bank to death, says the family | News Israel-Iran Conflict

The Israeli settlers beat an American citizen in the West Bank to death, family members and victim rights groups said.
The colonists attacked and killed Sayfollah Musallet – which was at the beginning of the twenty – in the city of Sinjil, north of Ramallah on Friday, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Musallet, also known as Saif Al-Din Musalat, had traveled from his home in Florida to visit his family in Palestine, said his Cousine Fatmah Muhammad in a social media position.
Another Palestinian, identified by the Ministry of Health like Mohammed Shalabi, was fatally shot down by settlers during the attack.
Defenders of rights documented repeated cases where Israeli settlers in the Cisjordanie Ransack of Palestinian districts and cities, houses and vehicles on fire in attacks sometimes described as pogroms.
The Israeli army often protects the colonists during their outbursts and has shot Palestinians who show resistance.
The United Nations and other eminent human rights organizations consider Israeli establishments in violations of international law in the West Bank, as part of a broader strategy to move the Palestinians.
While some Western countries such as France and Australia have imposed sanctions on violent settlers, the attacks have increased since the start of the War of Israel in Gaza in October 2023.
When Donald Trump took office earlier this year, his administration revoked sanctions against the colonists imposed by his predecessor, Joe Biden.
The Israeli forces have killed at least nine American citizens since 2022, including the veteran of the journalist of Al Jazeera Shireen Abu Akleh.
But none of the incidents led to criminal charges.
The United States provides billions of dollars to Israel every year. Defenders accused successive American administrations not to protect American citizens from Israeli violence in the Middle East.
Friday, the American-Islamic Relations Council (CAIR) called Washington to ensure the responsibility of the murder of Musallet.
“All the other murders of an American citizen have remained unpunished by the American government, which is why the Israeli government continues to undoubtedly kill the American Palestinians and, of course, other Palestinians,” said Deputy Director of Cair, Edward Ahmed Mitchell, in a statement.
He then pointed out that Trump repeatedly promised to prioritize American interests, as characterized by his campaign slogan “America First”.
“If President Trump will not even put America first when Israel murder of American citizens, then it is really a first administration of Israel,” said Mitchell.
The Institute for Understanding of the Middle East (IMEU) also called for the action of the US administration, noting that the colonists “more frequently lynched by Palestinians – with the full support of the Israeli army and government”.
“The US government has a legal and moral obligation to stop Israel’s racist violence against the Palestinians. Instead, it safeguard and finance it,” the group said in a statement.
The US State Department did not respond to the request for comments from Al Jazeera on the murder of Musallet.
The Palestinian group of Hamas condemned the murder of Musallet, describing it as “barbarian”, and called the Palestinians through the West Bank to get up to “face the colonists and their terrorist attacks”.
Israel said that it was “investigating” what had happened in Sinjil, saying that violence had started when the Palestinians threw stones on an Israeli vehicle.
“Shortly after, violent clashes have developed in the region between the Palestinians and Israeli civilians, which included the destruction of Palestinian property, criminal fires, physical clashes and the launch of stone,” the Israeli army said in a statement.
Israeli surveys often do not lead to any accusation or significant responsibility for the abuses of Israeli officers and settlers.
While colonists and military violence intensified as the West Bank, Israel killed at least 57,762 Palestinians in Gaza in a campaign that rights defense groups have described as a genocide.
