Kagiso Rabada returned IPL to “drug use”, suspended from cricket. Statement of problems

Exactly a month ago, the Gujarat Titans Kagiso Rabada stimulator returned home from the Indian Premier League season (IPL) 2025, the franchise labeling the reason for a “personal” reason. However, the South African speedster has now revealed that it should go home due to the “provisional suspension” for the use of recreational drugs. Rabada himself published a statement, explaining the scenario while suggesting that he would take advantage of this as an opportunity to think and improve. However, the declaration did not specify the type of recreational substance that the Pace uses, for which it was tested positive. The declaration does not explain either whether it was a test “in competition” (CI) or “competition” (OOC).
Declaration by Kagiso Rabada as below:
“As was reported, I recently returned to South Africa by participating in the IPL, for personal reasons. This was due to my return from an unfavorable analytical conclusion for the use of a recreational drug.”
“I am deeply sorry for all those I dropped. I will never take the privilege of playing cricket for granted. This privilege is much larger than me. It goes beyond my personal aspirations.”
“I serve a provisional suspension and I can’t wait to go back to the game I like.”
“I could not have lived this alone. I would like to thank my agent, CSA and Gujarat Titans for their support. I would also like to thank SACA and my legal team for their advice and their advice. Most importantly, I would like to thank my friends and my family for their understanding and their love.”
“To go ahead, this moment will not define me. I will continue to do what I have always done, working continuously hard and playing with passion and dedication to my job.”
Kagiso.
The Gujarat Titans, which has had a phenomenal season so far, had published a declaration on the return of Rabada last month. The veteran of Proteas Pace was one of the first two games of GT IPL 2025 against the kings of Punjab (PBKS) and the Indians of Mumbai (Mi), taking a counter each, but has been absent since.
“The Stimulator of Gujarat’s Titans, Kagiso Rabada, has returned to South Africa since the current IPL Tata season for personal reasons. The South African international was one of the first two games of Gujarat Titans in South Africa to face an important personal question,” said the franchisee declaration.
In the absence of Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Ishant Sharma and Gerald Coetze had to share the charge of the Bowling attack for the franchise.
