Zack Wheeler launched a dazzling blow with 12 stick withdrawals while the Philadelphia Phillies smothered the Reds of Cincinnati visiting Sunday afternoon.

Bryson Stott struck a circuit of two rounds in the eighth round to help make a winner of Wheeler (9-3), who was appointed launcher of the National League for June and resumed where he had stopped. The right -hander only granted a circuit to Austin Hays and did not work a striker in a sparkling individual effort.

With the match equally at 1-1 in the eighth, JT Realmuto broke out a single to one against Tony Santillan (1-2). Stott then fell late by 0-2 before fighting in a seven passes, capped by an online driving circuit of the second bridge in the right field.

Already with 100 throws, Wheeler returned for the ninth and withdrew Will Benson. He then obtained Santiago Espinal on a sweet lining and TJ Friedl on an easy fly ball to conclude his fifth full career match.

Wheeler withdrew the first 12 strikers he faced until Hays raised a 3-1 quick ball on the wall in the center of the center right. Wheeler then deposited the following three strikers, preparing the field so that his teammates equalize the scoring in the fifth.

In this context, Brandon Marsh walked against Chase Burns with a withdrawal. Two strikers later, the Reds summoned Sam Moll, which allowed Kyle Schwarber to double in the right field gap.

Phillies have again threatened in the sixth, starting with simple against Scott Barlow with Alec Bohm and Nick Castellanos. However, the right -hander withdrew three of the following four strikers – all on the curve balls – to keep the match equally at 1-1.

Wheeler crossed the seventh and the phillies made noise in the lower half, in vain. Graham Ashcroft removed Castellanos with two runners to end this threat.

Wheeler again withdrew the side in order in the eighth, punctuated by a withdrawal of Tyler Stephenson’s end of the round to prepare the ground for Stott’s heroism.

Making his third career start, Burns granted a point and two strokes in 4 2/3 rounds. He walked four and withdrew seven outings, launching 91 throws.
