Why did Joy Chavis backed off?
If you have passed on the Bet Awards red carpet this week, you have probably caught the super cute moment between Bow Wow and Shai. The proud father was organizing tasks and had the chance to interview his teenage daughter – talk about the loop! Fans lived for the adorable father-daughter moment, but of course, the internet had the internet.
Instead of focusing on healthy vibrations, people online focused on shai’s outfit – an apparent two -piece dress that showed a small hip. The next thing you know, the comments have started to flood, some referring to the look being “cultivated” or “inappropriate”. And, you already know who they have pointed out: his mom, joy.
But, joy said absolutely not! She jumped on a livestream very quickly to close all of this. The mother of three reminded everyone that she always has ten toes for her children and ensures that everything they do – and wear – is adapted to age.

Shai & Joy discuss the incidence of style
In a separate video, Shai Moss and his mother, joy, sat down to address the drama head on. Shai kept it all the real time, admitting that the outfit did not take place as they wanted. The teenager explained that there was in fact a misunderstanding with her stylist who let her show more than expected.
Shai also agreed with joy that it was not the most appropriate look, saying: “It’s a little too much”. However, a time crisis forced him to hit the carpet before being able to solve the problem. Shai apparently managed the situation with maturity and grace, and joy supported it all along, reminding people that sometimes things do not go as planned.
