Elon Musk seemed to delete some of his messages on his X social media platform that degenerated his bitter quarrel with President Donald Trump this week.

An article, more available from Saturday morning, accused Trump of being mentioned in the “files” of the late sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The accusation of Musk, which the White House challenged, marked an escalation in the public spit between men.

“Hmm … This page does not exist. Try to look for something else,” said page X which once displayed the Musk post.

Thursday, Musk also responded “yes” to the post of a user who asked Trump to be charged and replaced by Vice-President JD Vance.

This position was also not available from Saturday morning.

In an interview Friday with the actor “Manosphere” Theo Von, Vance said that Musk was making a “huge error” by going to Trump, while trying to minimize the billionaire’s attacks as “emotional guys” which was frustrated.

It was not immediately clear why Musk deleted the messages. The White House did not immediately respond to the request for CNBC comments.

Nevertheless, this is the last turn of the rapid deteriorated relationship between the online allies.

A little over a week ago, Trump and Musk exchanged compliments at the end of Musk’s official time leading the government’s ministry.

But their relationship has dislodged this week while the two men exchanged beards on social networks, largely from Musk’s vocal opposition to “Big and Beautiful Bill” by Trump, previously reported CNBC.

In one of the articles now deleted, Musk accused Trump of having been mentioned in files related to Epstein, without providing any proof of his complaint.

Musk alleged: “This is the real reason why they were not made public.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt rejected Musk’s allegations.

“This is an unfortunate episode of Elon, which is not satisfied with the only major bill because it does not include the policies he wanted,” she said in a statement to CNN.
