Pakistan enters a crypto race with the Bitcoin reserve led by Govt

In Bitcoin Vegas 2025, the Pakistani Minister of Crypto and Blockchain, Bilal Bin Saqib, made a revolutionary declaration by presenting the first strategic reserve of Bitcoin supported by the state of the country – a decision which signals a transformative change in the digital and economic trajectory of Pakistan.
Addressing a global audience who included US vice-president JD Vance, Eric Trump and Donald Trump JR, Bilal Bin Saqib positioned Pakistan as a digital center turned to the future, propelled by his informed youth and reinforced by an evolution towards decentralized finances.
“I am not only here as minister,” he said during his speech. “I am here as a voice of a generation – an online, chain and unstoppable generation.”
Bilal, which is also the CEO of Pakistan Crypto Council, revealed that the reserve would not be used for speculation or trade, but would serve as a sovereign – signaling a long -term commitment to finance based on blockchain. The Bitcoin national portfolio already has assets in the care of the state.
He also announced phase 1 of an infrastructure project supported by the government, allocating 2,000 megawatts of excess electricity for bitcoin extraction and artificial intelligence data centers.
The initiative is designed to attract sovereign minors, global technological companies and renewable energy partners.
Another major revelation of the provision was the next creation of Pakistan Digital Authority Authority (PDAA) – a new regulatory organization aimed at protecting investors, empowering developers and building a secure framework for digital finance in the country.
“Pakistan and Bitcoin suffered from bad public relations,” noted Bilal. “But if you look beyond the headlines, you will see something else: talent, resilience and vision.”
The 34 -year -old minister underlined the unique position of Pakistan, with more than 40 million cryptographic portfolios, a 23 -year -old median age and one of the world’s largest population populations – making it a natural competitor in the web economy3.
In a notable geopolitical gesture, he thanked US President Donald Trump for helping to maintain peace during the recent Indian-Pakistani conflict and praised his position on the adoption of the crypto.
End of his speech with a call to action, Bilal invited manufacturers around the world to take advantage of youth and the digital preparation of Pakistan: “If you build something real – come and build it in Pakistan. Come build portfolios for the non -banished grain.
The address positioned Pakistan at the heart of a global crypto and web3 story, no longer as a spectator, but as an ambitious actor who reshapes his future.
