Netflix explores Benedict’s romance with newcomer Sophie in season 4 – but who makes up the The Bridgerton Chronicles broadcast in the middle of the on-screen releases?
Over the years, Netflix fans have settled in to watch various love stories related to the fictional Bridgerton family. Based on Julia Quinnbook series, Season 1 of the hit drama debuted in 2020 with Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and Simon (Page Regé-Jean) as the central point of the show. Bridgerton highlighted Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) love story with Kate (Simone Ashley) two years later.
Before The Bridgerton Chronicles returned in 2024 with Colin (Luke Newton) and Penelope (Nicholas Coughlan) as a central point, Netflix expanded the universe with prequel series Queen Charlottethe premiere of which took place a year ago. Now, viewers are looking forward to season 4, which will explore Benoît’s film (Luke Thompson) romance with Sophie (Yerin Ha).
Netflix previously confirmed that the series would return for seasons 5 and 6. It remains to be seen who will be the focus of future installments – but according to Quinn, that has already been decided.

Luke Thompson
Benedict’s personal life – as well as his professional ups and downs – have been explored in previous seasons of the show, but now he’s taking center stage.
Yerin Ha
Opposite Thompson, Ha is a maid named Sophie who is also the mysterious woman Benedict meets at a ball.
“What attracted me to Sophie is that she immediately encounters obstacles — something that she constantly has to overcome,” Ha told Netflix’s Tudum in October 2024. “Whether it’s this battle over social status or trying to hide her feelings from Benedict.”
Katie Leung
In this Cinderella retelling, Leung’s Lady Araminta Gun fits the stereotype of the evil stepmother.
“Araminta and Rosamund are so focused on their own goals that, frankly, the Bridgertons don’t do much for them at first, beyond the fact that Benedict turns out to be quite a catch this season,” the showrunner said. Jess Brownell » Tudum teased.
Michelle Mao
Mao’s character, Rosamund Li, has been described as “her mother’s mini-me – a professional chess player in the marriage market”.
Isabelle Wei
Wei, meanwhile, plays Posy Li, who is “dreamy and often unserious, much to her mother’s dismay.”
