THE Madeleine The singer is self-aware enough to know she needs help and has been undergoing eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy for four months.
“I started EMDR therapy four months ago and it changed my life. EMDR therapy is a special type of therapy that stimulates the brain and creates new pathways leading to certain behaviors or traumatic experiences,” she explains. Hard there the hitmaker said.
“This is what works for me right now, but I’m not a doctor,” she said.
The singer explained the typical flow of an EMDR session, saying: “You usually start by deciding on an area, such as a traumatic experience, that you want to focus on, visualize the experience and identify the feelings that arise in your body and mind and the pain levels decrease.”
She continued, “If you’re trying to stop a negative behavior like spending or taking drugs, you do the opposite and think about the good feeling and try to dissociate that feeling from your self-esteem.”
“In my case, a handbag, you separate it by saying this handbag makes me a better person. It’s really interesting and I’m not clear on the science, but it works for me,” she shared.
Lily had a tough year when she split from husband David Harbor after reportedly finding his profile on celebrity dating app Raya and text messages on his phone.
