Aston Villa are closing in on the capture of Alysson Edward from Grêmio.

According to Eduardo Gabardo, the Brazilian team received 5 million euros in advance for the player from the Premier League club, and the rest will be paid in installments.

Alysson Edward set to move to Villa

The player has reportedly agreed a long-term contract with the Premier League club, and Edward will soon join his new club.

Aston Villa are looking to improve the attacking unit and have recruited Edward from South America. Liverpool have scouted Edward in the past.

He is highly rated and could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for the club. The striker will be excited by the chance to do well in the Premier League with Aston Villa and it remains to be seen whether he can adapt quickly to English football.

The technically gifted striker has a bright future ahead of him and Aston Villa could perhaps bring out the best in him.

They have a quality team and a quality manager like Unai Emery. It will be interesting to see if the Spanish manager can feed the young striker properly. If they can get him ready over the next few months, they could have a future star on their hands.

Aston Villa are looking to build a competitive team for the future and need to recruit talented young players like Edward and bring out the best in them. They are not able to attract ready-made superstars and this is a sustainable way to improve the team.

Meanwhile, the other Brazilian striker will be looking to prove himself at the highest level. If he manages to impress in the Premier League, it will also help him cement his place in the Brazilian national team.
