How did English sparkling wine become the new champagne?

The holiday season is only two weeks away and for many people around the world, the end of December means bubbles. Here in France, the crème de la crème is champagne. But in this Entre Nous, we focus on another booming sparkling wine: that of England. A few months ago, an English fizz became the first non-champagne wine to be named the world’s best sparkling wine.
