Ed Sheeran was full of praise for Taylor Swift in a recent interview.
The 34-year-old singer recently appeared in an interview for The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast and opened up about his initial connection with the “Ophelia” singer.
Ed remembers asking Swift if she “ever wanted to write a song, I’m here,” during a Snow Patrol opening set in Nashville.
“I knew she knew my music,” Sheeran added.
“Then we met, and then we wrote, and then I don’t know,” the singer continued, adding that “obviously” the duo are “opposite genders, and we’re from different countries and cultures, but I feel very connected creatively with her.”
This comes as Swift praised Ed for his friendship and experience in the art field.

This comes amid a reported rift between Swift and Ed. For those unaware, Swift released her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, just weeks after Sheeran released his eighth studio album, Play, which immediately hit streaming platforms and overperformed. This shocked the Sapphire hitmaker and caused her team to act quickly to come up with a new plan to promote her release.
