Greg Cosell points out Shedeur Sanders’ major red flag that led to Jerry Jeudy missing multiple times against the 49ers

NFL analyst Greg Cosell believes Shedeur Sanders has a major flaw that affected his performance in the 26-8 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Thursday on the “Ross Tucker Podcast” he said the rookie quarterback still plays like he’s in college. This is why he missed the passes he attempted to receiver Jerry Jeudy, which then led to an altercation between them on the sideline.
Thanks for the submission!
“I’m not surprised at all,” Cosell said. “Shedeur always plays at college speed. He doesn’t drop back with the quickness that you need to drop back. He doesn’t get back in the pocket, doesn’t put his feet down. So what happens is you end up being slow in what you see because you’re not really ready to process and deliver the football.

“So this week he didn’t see what he needed to see at the speed needed. He was just playing a little slow move. And that’s very, very common for college quarterbacks, especially those who spend almost all of their time in college with the shotgun. … So he missed Jerry Jeudy a few times in that game, where he just didn’t throw the ball, and the concept and route design was very clear. … So either he wasn’t dealing with it. not, he wasn’t registering it, he wasn’t ready to throw the ball.

Against the Browns, Shedeur Sanders completed 16 of 25 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown. The Cleveland Browns are ranked last in the AFC North with a 3-9 record.
During Wednesday’s press conference, Jerry Jeudy broke his silence on the secondary altercation with Coach Prime’s son. He admitted that he should have spoken to Shedeur Sanders away from the camera, but also confirmed that there was no bad blood between them.
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski shares his honest thoughts on Shedeur Sanders’ performance against the 49ers
During Monday’s press conference, Kevin Stefanski said he saw good gameplay from Shedeur Sanders despite the disappointing loss.
“There are things he wants to get back that we are training right now that he can improve on,” Stefanski said. “But the bottom line is we have to continue to put our players in a position to succeed.
“For the young quarterback, you can only get better with more tricks in these games, as you see more coverages, as you see more defenses and as you prepare against different defenses. So I’m looking forward to that continued improvement with Shedeur and for all of our young players.”
The Browns next face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
