‘Black Phone’ Director Discusses Plans for Third Sequel

‘Black Phone’ stars Ethan Hawke and Mason Thames in key roles

Black phone Director Scott Derrickson has revealed his plans for the third sequel.

The second installment was released last month and proved to be a critical and commercial success.

Black phone 2 brought a clear ending to the characters of The Grabber, Finn and Gwen. The director says it can definitely be more, but he also feels it’s not necessary.

When talking about another sequel, Scott opened up that if he thought about making another entry, it would only be on one condition.

He believes that “if there has to be more, there has to be a reason.”

“I love the franchises. I think I’ve seen every Halloween movie, and that’s a lot. I’ve seen all the Elm Street movies. So part of it is the fun of returning to iconic characters or villains that you want to see again,” he said. Collider.

The director says he doesn’t really see the point in making another film in the franchise.

He added: “So if there’s going to be a Black Phone 3, it’s going to have to be another big pivot. Otherwise, I don’t see the point in doing one.”

Black phone stars Ethan Hawke, Mason Thames, Miguel More, Jeremy Davies and Madeleine McGraw.
