The manager of San Diego Padres, Mike Shildt, applied for Seattle Mariners after a defeat of 4-1 on Saturday evening.

“If Cal Raleigh could miss a trip to play the padres from time to time, it would be great,” said Shildt.

Raleigh has certainly not missed it and does not understand to cool its heels on the bench on Sunday when Seattle tries a standard scan in San Diego.

After having made a two-round circuit in sixth round of the 5-1 victory on Friday evening, Raleigh gave his team the advance for good during the seventh round on Saturday evening by drilling a leading circuit against the lift Adrian Morejon.

Raleigh is equal to the second row in the major leagues with 15 circuits, one behind Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers. In addition, it makes progress to become a more balanced striker. Its average is 0.253, which would be its 21 -point career record if the season ended now. And his walking / strike ratio is easily the best of his five -season career with 30 ball goals and 47 stick withdrawals.

But Raleigh’s new patience took a rear seat when the time came to hit the seventh.

“We tried to put him on his weak side, but he just stretched an ambush,” said Shildt.

For his part, Raleigh was more interested in talking about an enclosure of the readers who shot in 4 1/3 sleeves aimlessly to give the Mariners a serial victory. Gabe Speier won the victory with 1 1/3 of work sleeves and Andres Munoz, who succeeded two stops blown in his last three chances, was back in shape with 1 1/3 of sleeves perfect for his 14th stop.

“Today, it was a little longer, but they did an excellent job,” said Raleigh about the enclosure of the Lights. “It starts with (Munoz); he always launches great and keeps guys out of the basic paths.”

The same goes for the Bryan Woo starter (4-1, 2.84 ERA), who obtained the ball for Seattle on Sunday. He worked for the last time Tuesday evening, stifling the New York Yankees on four strokes in 6 1/3 sleeves aimless in the 2-1 and 11-round victory. He did not make a decision.

Woo withdrew six without intervening, which gives it a ratio of 50-8 withdrawal for the year. He faced San Diego once in his career, granting only two strokes and two points in 6 2/3 rounds to win a 5-2 victory in last 11 September.

The Padres will counter the right-hander Michael King (4-1, 2.32), which comes out on Monday evening without decision in their home defeat 9-5 against the Los Angeles Angels. King left with an advance of 4-3 after granting four strokes and three points (two deserved) on 5 2/3 rounds with two balls on bullets and eight stick withdrawals. But closer, Robert Suarez has coughed five ninth round points when the Angels gathered to win.

King faced the navies four times in his career, twice as a lifter, and is 0-2 with an MPM of 1.98, removing 19 in 13 2/3 innings.

San Diego has generated many chances of scoring in the first two games in the series, but has become safe in 15 bats with runners in the rating position. It was 0 for 8 on Saturday evening, leaving the basics loaded in the fifth when the match was tied at 1 and left eight on the basis.
