The double-double was Towns’ eighth of the season and his 66th in 81 regular-season games since being acquired by the Knicks on October 2, 2024.

New York shot 54.5 percent, including 45.9 percent (17 of 37) from 3-point land, while limiting the Nets to 40.2 percent shooting, including 31.1 percent (14 of 45) from beyond the arc.

The Knicks scored the first eight points of the game and never led by less than five after that. Brunson and Anunoby combined for all the points in an 11-0 run late in the quarter that increased New York’s lead to 40-22.
The Knicks led 77-62 at halftime and ended any hopes of a Nets comeback by opening the third quarter with a 12-0 run. Hart’s jumper with 4:23 left in the period gave New York a 30-point lead for good at 100-70.
