Lizzo sued for copyright infringement

Lizzo’s Vogue World outing comes after she was embroiled in a legal impasse over alleged copyright infringement involving publishing company The GRC Trust.
The “Truth Hurts” singer previously took to social media to share a snippet of an unreleased song called “I’m Goin’ In Till October,” but she sampled the song “Win or Lose (We Tried).”
In the clip, Lizzo apparently made pointed remarks about actress Sydney Sweeney’s controversial American Eagle ad, including a line in which she sang, “I got good jeans like I’m Sydney.”
Court documents show that the company’s lawyers claim that Lizzo and her label, Atlantic, “obtained profits they would not have made without their violation of GRC’s rights” and that they “attempted to resolve the dispute informally, but reached an impasse,” requiring a trial.
