The news shared between Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman only broke in September, but the country star apparently hinted at his relationship status much earlier.
The 57-year-old singer performed his song, Straight linetaken from his latest album High, during the premiere of his show, The road, and it gave new insight into the problems in paradise, given the divorce filing that followed.
The fighter The hitmaker opened up about the inspiration behind the song in 2024, writing, “This is the song that kicks off an album that I’m joining to share with you all. I chose it first for many reasons, but mostly because I think it represents an energy and spirit that has become a throughline for the entire record,” via Instagram.
Urban wrote via Instagram in February 2024. “I’m going to touch on a lot of themes, emotions and moods on this album, but a very human spirit runs through them all.”
