The Rangers star has already admitted he dreams of walking away from Ibrox due to Gerrard worry

In a first blow for Rangers as they prepare to start a new era with a face back in the dugout, one player has already admitted he dreams of leaving Ibrox.
Gerrard already has Rangers ambition in mind
Barely a week after sacking Russell Martin after just 123 days in charge, making him the manager with the shortest reign in history, Rangers are set to turn to a familiar face. According to multiple reports, Steven Gerrard is now closing in on a move to the Gers to take charge for the second time and the first time since leaving for Aston Villa in 2021.
The Liverpool legend has the daunting task of reviving a Rangers side that sits up to nine points behind rivals Celtic and 11 points behind shock leaders Hearts in the Scottish Premiership. But that won’t stand in the way of his lofty ambitions, according to former Rangers ace Kyle Lafferty.
Lafferty, who played under Gerrard at Rangers during his brief second spell at the club, told reporters earlier this week:
“It wouldn’t surprise me if he made them fight again and fight for the title this season. Seriously, I wouldn’t be shocked if he won it. He’ll come in expecting to win it. He won’t settle for second place.
“He won’t think, let’s close the gap to Celtic and Hearts and maybe finish with a few points. I know him and played under him. He will literally come in and think he can win the league this season.”
That said, transforming this current squad is certainly easier said than done, and the recent admission of a star man’s transfer certainly won’t help Gerrard’s project.
Antman has previously admitted that he dreams of a return to Spain
As reported by Dutch football expert and Voetbal International journalist Sander Janssen with Ibrox News, Oliver Antman has previously admitted that he dreams of a return to Spain after enjoying past successes in the youth teams of Cornella and CF Damm, while also being on trial at Barcelona in 2012.
“I don’t know if he will reach the absolute pinnacle of football, but I definitely think Antman can become a success at Rangers or maybe a similar club. He is a very intelligent person who is never really satisfied with his game.
“He can be very critical of himself, so he knows what he can do best. That’s an important aspect for a player. During his youth, Antman played for Barcelona for a year. He said earlier this year that his dream would be to play in Spain again. I think this league really suits him. (Janssen to Ibrox News)
Following reports that Besiktas are ready to save Nicolas Raskin as early as January, the last thing Rangers need is for summer arrival Antman to aim for a quick exit in his own right.
For now, Gerrard must hope the Spanish winger’s dream remains just that.
