JK Rowling, Emma Watson’s public quarrel increases after a recent diatribe

JK Rowling responded to Emma Watson’s recent comments on their relationship, which was tense due to their different opinions on the rights of transgender.
In a long post on X, Rowling expressed his frustration with regard to Watson and his compatriot Harry Potter Daniel Radcliffe, accusing them of assuming the role of “de facto spokesperson” for the world it has created.
Rowling’s remarks occurred after Watson discussed his feelings about the author on the podcast “in purposes with Jay Shetty”, saying that she always treasures despite their disagreements.
Watson underlined his desire to maintain a positive link with Rowling, even if they do not share the same opinions.
The quarrel between Rowling and Watson started in 2020 when Rowling made a series of tweets on transgender rights that have been widely criticized. Watson and other Potter stars, including Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, publicly condemned Rowling’s comments.
In her article, Rowling criticized Watson for his perceived hypocrisy, noting that even if Watson has spoken to support the rights of transgender people, she also made comments which, according to Rowling, are hurtful for women.
Rowling also accused Watson of being “ignorant” of the real implications of his words and actions.
His answer sparked a wave of discussion online, with fans and criticisms weighing on the quarrel. Some defended Watson’s advocacy for trans rights, while others have echoed the concerns of Rowling concerning privileges and living experience.
