‘This is what I feel’ – Robertson & Slot respond to the hostile reception of Alexander -Arnold

Andy Robertson and Arne Slot admitted that Liverpool supporters had the right to express what they feel about Trent Alexander-Arnold after receiving a hostile reception during the 2-2 draw with Arsenal in Anfield.
Alexander-Arnold confirmed that he was leaving Liverpool for new pastures this summer, ending a 20-year-old association that has increased in the ranks of the Academy to win the Premier League twice, the Champions League and be appointed Vice-Capitaine of the club.
Many Liverpool supporters have expressed anger and disdain on social networks to the decision of Alexander-Arnold, and hostilities continued before and during the match with Arsenal. The 26-year-old was hue when he came as a second half substitute, replacing his probable successor Conor Bradley, and the reaction continued each time he touched the ball.
Speaking after-match, Robertson wanted to focus on the positive influence of Alexander-Arnold on his individual career, but admitted that it was not pleasant to see his teammate lit by Liverpool fans.
“Disappointed to lose a good friend, he is an incredible player and an incredible person,” said Robertson Sky Sports. “He pushed me and made me a better player. His inheritance will always be there, he has done so much for this club.
“We will miss it for me as one of my best friends in the game, we did everything together. He took me to levels that I did not know. It was not easy for Trent, but he made the decision. It was not pleasant to see him huer but you can’t say people.”
Slot has echoed Robertson’s feelings in his own post-match remarks, declaring: “Everyone can have their own opinion and you can express it in any way you wish.
“I heard mixed opinions, but the only opinion I have is that I owe the players and fans to try to win a football game and if Conor Bradley cannot continue because he is tired and I have Trent Alexander-Arnold on the bench, I will bring him back because we want to win this football game.
“It was very close to us to win it because it had two or three passes – which makes it so special. For me, it is quite simple if I want to win, I brought it in and that’s what I did and for fans, they have the right to have their own opinion.”
Alexander -Arnold is expected to sign a long -term agreement at Real Madrid, according to the traces of Michael Owen and Steve McManaman, who left Liverpool for the Spanish capital aged 24 and 27 – the latter also on a free transfer after having opted for the signing of a new contract.
