Employers across the country take disciplinary measures against workers who have laughed at the assassination of Charlie Kirk, many going so far as to dismiss.
At least eight companies and organizations have given employees the ax so far after the founder of 31 years of Turning Point USA was shot in an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

On Friday, the company behind the New York Stock Exchange dismissed an employee for publications on social networks linked to the Kirk shooting, saying that they clearly violated its policy.
“Nasdaq has a zero tolerance policy with regard to violence and any comments that tolerates or celebrates violence,” said society in an article on X.
The employee was a woman who worked as a junior sustainable development strategist at Nasdaq, a familiar source told Reuters, without disclosing more details.

Large institute
The Biomedical Research Center based in Massachusetts, which is a joint venture between Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, dismissed an employee who would have published a “deeply offensive” commentary on their personal account on social networks concerning the murder of Kirk, according to the Boston Globe, citing a spokesperson for the company.

Perkins Coie
The law firm, based in Seattle, dismissed a lawyer who published a message on social networks that criticized Kirk after his death, a spokesman for Bloomberg Law said.
“We are aware of the comments published on social networks by a former employee of Perkins Coie following the death of Charlie Kirk,” the spokesman told the point of sale. “These comments do not reflect the views of our company, and the conduct of the individual by displaying them is far from the expectations we have of all those who work here.”

Office Depot dismissed an employee in one of his Michigan locations after a viral video showed that the staff refused to print posters for a Kirk vigil.

The Carolina Panthers dismissed an employee, Charlie Rock, who made publications on social networks after the assassination of Kirk.
An informed source Panthers’ Decision confirmed to Fox News Digital that Rock, a member of the team’s communications department, was dismissed on Thursday.

The West Ada school district dismissed an employee of Meridian High School after pretending to be a video celebrating Kirk’s death.
