President Donald Trump suggested on Monday that US public companies are expected to drop from reporting on quarterly profits to semi -annual reports, arguing that change would reduce costs and encourage long -term business planning.

The dry did not immediately respond to the request for comments from Fox Business.
Trump’s proposal to remove quarterly reports is not new. In 2018, during his presidency, Trump ordered the dry to study the question, although the agency finally kept the quarterly requirements in place.
