The adoption of the Openai company seems to accelerate, to the detriment of the rivals

Openai seems to be doing well before its competitors in the race to capture the IA expenditure of companies, according to the transaction data of the company Fintech Ramp.

According to the AI of Ramp index, which estimates the adoption rate of IA products by relying on card data and invoice invoices, 32.4% of American companies paid subscriptions to OPENAI AI models, platforms and tools in April. This increased by 18.9% in January and 28% in March.

Competitors have struggled to make similar progress, according to RAMP data. Only 8% of companies had subscriptions to anthropic products last month, compared to 4.6% in January. Google AI subscriptions experienced a decrease of 2.3% in February to 0.1% in April, meanwhile.

“OPENAI continues to add customers faster than any other company on the Ramp platform,” wrote Ramp economist, Ara Kharzian, in a blog article published on Tuesday. “OUR […] The AI of ramp index shows the adoption of increasing Openai companies faster than competing models. »»

To be clear, the ramp AI index is not a perfect measure. It only examines a sample of corporate spending data of around 30,000 companies. In addition, as the index identifies AI products and services using the name of the merchant and the details of the line element, it is probably missing spending in other cost centers.

However, the figures suggest that Optai is strengthening its grip on the market for large and growing companies for AI.

In a report published in April, Openai said that it had more than 2 million professional users, an increase compared to 1 million users in September. The company expects companies to contribute significantly to its net profit. According to Bloomberg, Openai provides $ 12.7 billion in revenues this year and $ 29.4 billion in 2026.
