YouTube’s multi-language audio function for dubbing videos takes place to all creators

YouTube announced Wednesday that its multi-language audio functionality was officially launched after a two-year pilot. Now millions of youtubers can add dubbing to their videos in different languages, helping them reach a wider global audience. The deployment should occur in the coming weeks.
The functionality initially launched as a pilot in 2023, accessible to a limited number of creators, including MrBeast, Mark Rober and Chef Jamie Oliver. The creators had to work with third -party dubbing services until YouTube introduced an automatic disorder tool powered by the AI which exploits Google’s Gemini technology to reproduce the tone and emotions of a creator.
Since its launch, YouTube reports that several testers have been successful with this functionality. On average, those who downloaded multi-language audio tracks have seen more than 25% of their watch time from views in the non-primary language of the video. Jamie Oliver’s chain, for example, tripled in views after using multi-language audio tracks.
In addition, the company has tested multi -commercial miniatures with a selected group of creators. Since June, creators have been able to personalize the miniatures to display text in other languages, addressing their international audience. Localized vignettes are designed to include text that corresponds to the favorite languages of viewers.
