The collapse of the week 1 of Cleveland Browns Eclipse
NFL football is back, and Cleveland’s Browns have taken less than a full game to get in the middle of the season. In mid-season, I mean being the most embarrassing organization in the four major sports in the United States.
It was not that bad for the Browns at Huntington Bank Field; There were in fact many positive signs, but faults are the only things that will remain in the memories of next week.
Joe Flacco looked stellar when he returned to brown and orange. He seemed comfortable to direct the offensive of Kevin Stefanski and involved numerous unknown reception options throughout the match.
The receivers have shown some positive perspectives in it. Cedric Tillman was an excellent essential option through the middle of the field, especially when the browns found themselves in situations of third and long.
Harrold Fannin was a delicious surprise today, leading the team with nine targets. Stefanski used it in a ton of different packages today: behind, in the slit, and queuing with the other tight end of the team, David Njoku. The director general of Browns Andrew Berry and coach Stefanski loved Fannin in the pre-trafic process, and this clearly shows the amount of work he saw during week 1.
Unfortunately for these two, and Jerry Jeudy, the drops were a massive problem in it. In the middle of the third quarter, the Pass of Flacco on Jeudy rebounded directly with his hands and in the arms of Bengal security in terms of Jordan. This led to Bengal points only in the second half.
The very next training, Fannin dropped a very attractable pass in third and five near the limit, and Jeudy dropped a pass that hit him in the sectarian mask on the next game, leading to a turnover on Downs.
Then, at the end of the fourth quarter, while the Browns tried to finish a two -minute exercise, Tillman had his turn with the drops, groping a pass on the right to the Bengals, mainly sealing the game.
Cleveland has left so many points on the field today, and that ruined which could have been a beautiful opening match for this unproven reception core. Fortunately for them, they were not about to be the biggest problem child today.
Andre Szmyt missed an additional point and a 36 yards basket. It could be his first and last match with the Browns. Despite all the other faults that have occurred today, you just can’t leave these points. With an opening calendar which is incredibly difficult for the Browns, this game looked like a must, and Szmyt will bring back a ton of blame.
Speaking of players taking the blame, Dawand Jones has had another brutal performance, being beat eight times today, abandoning six pressures and being dominated in the racing game. I’m not sure that Cornelius Lucas would be a better option, but the Browns must improve the attacker to establish a racing game.
It is also a shame, because Dylan Sampson seemed to have an excellent recruit showcase. He did not have many holes in the racing game, but showed huge reception capacities out of the back field, making many captures of beautiful catches in it. Sampson has completely surpassed Jérôme Ford, and with Quinkh Judkins, let’s hope, let’s join this rear field soon, we will not deal with Ford longer.
Today’s greatest shame was that the defense played as well as you would expect. Myles Garrett is an absolute game group (DUH), and the rest of the defensive front had a solid week 1 against an improved front of Bengals.
Secondary looked super against elite Bengals also receiving a nucleus. I even give credit to Greg Newsome, who made some beautiful games on Ja’mar Chase.
Carson Schwesinger was the big winner today on the defense. He led the team in the plated and seems to be a fantastic replacement for Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. He has shown his NFL elite speed, and when he moves, he can also put an absolute blow stick. If Jok is able to make a return for Cleveland, the Browns could have the best second duo in the league.
The Browns go to Baltimore next week, where they open as a 12.5 -point oppressed. They have shown that they could be better than expected this year, but they cannot continue to shoot themselves in the foot as they have done today with their next Baltimore, Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota and Pittsburgh calendar.
This does not become easier for the Browns, and if the losses are starting to accumulate, even a good QB game from Flacco will not keep Stefanski’s work for a long time.
