A disguised shooter who murdered an eminent Ukrainian politician is linked to Russia, says kyiv

Kyiv said on Monday that Russia was linked to Weekend assassination of a Ukrainian politician Pro-Western after the arrest of a suspect allegedly had the shooting disguised as a mail.
Andriy Parubiy, a former speaker of the Parliament and the main figure in the Ukrainian pro-European protest movements in 2004 and 2014, was shot down on Saturday in the western city of LVIV, near the EU and the member of NATO Poland.
The police said that the suspect, whose arrest was announced early on Monday, drew on Parubiy eight times in broad daylight before fleeing the premises.
“We know that this crime was not accidental. There is a Russian trace,” said national police chief Ivan Vygivsky in a social media position.
Vygivsky joined two photos of the arrest, showing a shirtless man apprehended by officers in military uniform in what seemed to be an apartment.
Sources within Ukraine law enforcement organizations told the partner of CBS News BBC News that the attacker had dressed to look like a worker from the Glovo delivery company. The company said that it was “deeply shocked” by crime and would cooperate fully with an investigation.

The Minister of the Interior said earlier that the murder had been carefully planned, echoing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy said that Interior Minister Igor Klymenko and that the head of the security services Vasyl Maliuk had informed him of the arrest.
In a subsequent position after talking to chief prosecutor Ruslan Kravchenko, he added: “The suspect gave a first testimony.
“Klymenko said dozens of police officers and security agents had been involved in the arrest in the Khmelnytsky region in western Ukraine.
“I will only say that the crime was carefully prepared: the calendar of the movements of the deceased was studied, the route was followed and an escape plan was thought.”
Some previous tributes from Ukrainian officials in Parubiy, who was still a deputy, has referred to Russian participation.

Parubiy, who had studied history, had campaigned for the independence of Ukraine compared to the Soviet Union.

During the Midan demonstrations in 2014, he was a “commander” of the self -defense forces of the opposition.
The demonstrations led to the eviction of the pro-Kremlin leaders of Ukraine and precipitated a separatist uprising supported by Moscow in the east of the country.
The same year, the Ukrainian media said that he had survived an attempted assassination of Granada.
After the eviction of the Ukrainian chief of the time, Viktor Yanukovych, who fled to Russia, Parubiy sat on the National Security and Defense Council for several months.
Last month, one of the best members of the Ukraine security service, Colonel Ivan Voronychwas killed in a daring attack on daylight in Kyiv. A few days later, the Ukrainian security agency said it had found and killed Two Russian agents suspected of having murdered Voronych.
